A spicy-sweet rice bowl featuring ground beef glazed with hot honey and served with rice and fresh veggies. Quick, bold, and satisfying.
1 lb ground beef
1 tbsp oil
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 tsp fresh ginger, grated
2 green onions, sliced
2 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp rice vinegar
1 tsp sesame oil
1–2 tsp gochujang or sriracha (optional)
1/3 cup hot honey (store-bought or homemade)
2 cups cooked jasmine rice
Sliced cucumbers, shredded carrots, or steamed greens
Toppings: sesame seeds, fried egg, extra hot honey
In a skillet, heat oil and sauté garlic, ginger, and white parts of green onion for 1–2 minutes.
Add ground beef and cook until browned. Drain excess fat.
Stir in soy sauce, vinegar, gochujang, and sesame oil. Simmer for 2 minutes.
Drizzle in hot honey, stir to coat, and turn off heat.
Assemble bowls with rice, beef, veggies, and toppings. Serve hot.
Make your own hot honey by simmering honey with chili flakes and vinegar.
Store components separately for meal prep.
Use tamari for gluten-free or cauliflower rice for low-carb.
