A spicy-sweet rice bowl featuring ground beef glazed with hot honey and served with rice and fresh veggies. Quick, bold, and satisfying.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef

  • 1 tbsp oil

  • 2 garlic cloves, minced

  • 1 tsp fresh ginger, grated

  • 2 green onions, sliced

  • 2 tbsp soy sauce

  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar

  • 1 tsp sesame oil

  • 12 tsp gochujang or sriracha (optional)

  • 1/3 cup hot honey (store-bought or homemade)

  • 2 cups cooked jasmine rice

  • Sliced cucumbers, shredded carrots, or steamed greens

  • Toppings: sesame seeds, fried egg, extra hot honey

Instructions

  • In a skillet, heat oil and sauté garlic, ginger, and white parts of green onion for 1–2 minutes.

  • Add ground beef and cook until browned. Drain excess fat.

  • Stir in soy sauce, vinegar, gochujang, and sesame oil. Simmer for 2 minutes.

  • Drizzle in hot honey, stir to coat, and turn off heat.

  • Assemble bowls with rice, beef, veggies, and toppings. Serve hot.

Notes

  • Make your own hot honey by simmering honey with chili flakes and vinegar.

  • Store components separately for meal prep.

  • Use tamari for gluten-free or cauliflower rice for low-carb.
