Brownies:
1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter
½ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 ¾ cups granulated sugar
½ cup brown sugar (optional)
4 large eggs
1 tbsp vanilla extract
1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 cup all-purpose flour
½ tsp salt
½ cup chocolate chips (optional)
Decorations:
1 cup buttercream or vanilla frosting
Red, green, and gold food coloring
Licorice strips, mini M&Ms, sprinkles
Piping bags or zip bags
Preheat oven to 350°F. Line a 9×13-inch pan with parchment.
Melt butter and ½ cup chocolate chips. Cool slightly.
Whisk in sugars, eggs, and vanilla. Stir in cocoa, flour, and salt.
Fold in optional chocolate chips. Spread batter in pan.
Bake 28–32 minutes. Cool completely.
Cut into squares. Tint frosting and decorate like wrapped gifts.
