Bang Bang Fried Rice: 1 Spicy Twist That Makes This Dish Irresistible

A fusion of spicy, creamy Bang Bang sauce with classic fried rice, packed with veggies, protein, and bold flavor. Perfect for weeknight dinners or meal prep.

Ingredients

3 cups day-old cooked rice
2 eggs
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 tsp fresh ginger, minced
1/2 cup diced carrots
1/2 cup frozen peas
1/2 cup cooked shrimp, chicken, or tofu
2 tbsp soy sauce
1 tsp sesame oil
2 tbsp oil for cooking
2 green onions, sliced
Sesame seeds for garnish

Bang Bang Sauce:
1/2 cup mayonnaise
2 tbsp sweet chili sauce
12 tsp Sriracha (to taste)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix mayo, sweet chili sauce, and Sriracha to make Bang Bang sauce. Set aside.

  2. Heat oil in a skillet or wok. Cook shrimp, chicken, or tofu until golden. Remove and set aside.

  3. Add garlic and ginger to the pan. Sauté for 30 seconds.

  4. Push to the side and scramble eggs in the pan. Mix with aromatics.

  5. Add carrots and peas. Cook 2–3 minutes until softened.

  6. Stir in rice. Break up clumps and fry on high heat.

  7. Add soy sauce and sesame oil. Mix thoroughly.

  8. Return protein to pan. Stir in half of the Bang Bang sauce.

  9. Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds. Serve hot.

Notes

Use cold, day-old rice for best results. Adjust Bang Bang sauce spice level to taste. Great with shrimp, chicken, or tofu.
